For Medicare (formerly Medicover), we designed a maternity unit on the 4th floor of Vision Towers through the transformation of a former office space, delivered as a full-scope design project. A key focus of the process was the close coordination of all disciplines, ensuring that medical technology requirements, the interior design concept, and acoustic solutions were seamlessly integrated.
The functional program of the new department includes a 15-bed postnatal ward, two delivery rooms, a caesarean operating theatre with supporting spaces, a neonatal room and care unit, as well as outpatient facilities and waiting areas.
The interior design aimed to create a calm and balanced atmosphere. An elegant harmony of bronze and pastel tones is complemented by illuminated wall surfaces and subtle lighting effects, resulting in a welcoming and homelike environment in both circulation areas and delivery rooms.
In the neonatal room, newborn care unit, and caesarean operating theatre, playful graphics and light-toned finishes were introduced to soften the clinical environment while maintaining functionality.
